Early Childhood Ireland

Identity

Early Childhood Ireland is a national, member organisation that promotes quality care and education for young children. With a growing membership base of 3,330 providers, representing almost 75% of all early childhood care and education services in the country, we have a reach to 100,000 families on a daily basis.

Origins

Early Childhood Ireland is a new organisation that came about through a merger in 2011. Irish Preschool Playgroups Association (IPPA) and the National Children’s Nurseries Association (NCNA), two long established and well respected organisations with strong profiles and solid track records in building capacity within the sector came together to improve outcomes for children and members.
